New Socogetra Headquarters

The SOCOGETRA project is architecture in its purest form, exactly the kind of architecture we love to create at PLAN 9.

A glass box rests subtly on a series of sliding planes, the whole composition enhanced by a reflecting pool.

A carefully designed and richly planted green belt plays an active role in the atmosphere of the project and strengthens the relationship between Architecture and Nature. Bringing the building to life.

A planted central patio further enhances the atmosphere and brings natural light deep into the office floors and down to the underground parking level.

There is no room for compromise. The client understood this and, sharing our architectural vision, supported PLAN 9 throughout the design process.

Echoing the Barcelona Pavilion, SOCOGETRA’s new headquarters is defined by simple, rectilinear planes.

Like BESIX, WUST and SOCOGETRA, the building will achieve an EXCELLENT rating under the highly demanding BREEAM certification system.

Its water management strategy, low-energy systems and roof fitted with solar panels all contribute to reducing its environmental impact.

Project designed and developed in close collaboration with BEL, BEOS, ATS, CEDIRPRO and MBO.

The outstanding construction-site and aerial photographs are the work of photographer Pascal THEMANS.

Plan 9 develops carefully considered architecture defined by clean, modern lines. Its refined design combines glass and stone, timber and steel, precise planes and bold gestures, creating a deliberate contrast with nature.

Our architecture aims to be thoughtful and appropriate. It places people at the heart of every project: an almost vital philosophy in these uncertain times.

Rigour and professionalism are fundamental values that guide our team. Who we are has shaped the practice we have become today, and what we offer you is driven by our passion.
