Active in the field of building expertise since 1998, Plan9’s architects have developed strong technical knowledge together with a deeply human approach. Today, our projects carried out in partnership with condominiums benefit directly from this experience.

For this project, the owners had noticed deterioration to the soffits beneath the terraces. Water infiltration through the concrete slabs had caused significant damage.

Plan9 developed a technical specification for the installation of a new waterproofing system. The selected solution was a liquid PU membrane (a polyurethane liquid waterproofing resin).

The nature of the existing substrate determined this choice.

First, polyurethane offers excellent adhesion to concrete surfaces. Its liquid formulation also makes it easier to apply in areas with numerous cuts and complex details. Finally, once installed, this type of waterproofing forms a continuous membrane, reducing the risk of leaks caused by weaknesses at joints.

However, our attention was not limited to the damaged substrate.

To protect the building against another potential source of water infiltration, the drainage outlets and downpipes also had to be replaced.

And to complete the transformation, the façades were repainted as well. A fresh new look for everyone to enjoy.
