Copropriété - LIEGEA call for terrace renovation works
Our architecture practice, specialised in terrace renovation, was called in to advise this condominium, whose building was gradually deteriorating.
Our mission consists of renovating the terrace waterproofing in order to stop further deterioration of the structure. The reinforced concrete structural elements are severely damaged and must first be treated and then repaired.
Our work is currently in progress, and a new façade is expected to be completed in 2025.
To ensure the long-term durability of the terrace renovation, the waterproofing defects must first be addressed. The architects at Plan9 specified the use of a PMMA liquid waterproofing membrane.
The damaged reinforced concrete can then be repaired, after which new tiling will be installed as the final finish.
The balustrades will also be replaced in order to bring them into line with current safety standards. At the same time, this will give the building a more contemporary appearance.
A light-coloured finish on the soffits and concrete façade elements will bring a fresh new look to the building.
